We actively engage practitioners, scholars, government officials, private sector representatives, civil society members, and our stakeholders in open conversations, discussions, and lectures about significant trends in South Asian affairs.

SAFI plans to organize a series of regularly scheduled events, including panel debates, conferences, lectures, and interviews. We intend to invite world leaders and top analysts from various fields around the globe to participate, with deliberate attention to equitable representation from all nine targeted countries.

Convenings are designed to produce something durable: each major event is paired with a published summary, a recording where participants consent, and where appropriate a follow-on brief that carries the discussion into the policy process.

To inform, engage, and equip policymakers in South Asia by addressing gaps in foreign and public policy through analysis, opinion research, and foster informed public discourse, focused on locally driven solutions and free from any regional dominance.

Who this program is for

SAFI’s targeted groups include, but are not limited to, youth, scholars, students, experts, academics, vulnerable populations, refugees, immigrants, and practitioners. Outputs from this program are written to be useful to each of them — not only to specialists.
